​Mother’s Day Delights

This week I will me tasting a variety of wines, all under $20, that will be perfect for this Mother’s Day weekend. Whether you’re grilling, or just hanging out on the porch.

WIld Song Rose: A Merlot Rose from New Zealand. This wine has the bright and fresh acidity you expect from New Zealand. Cherry and Strawberry fruits, with a soft floral note.

Dom Diogo Azal: A unique white wine from the Vinho Verde region of Portugal, made from Azal. Juicy citrus and green fruits seem to snap and pop across the tongue. This is a lively delightful wine.

Greviere Madiran: a full bodied wine from the south east of France made from 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet. Big and bold dark cherry and spicy red fruits, with a leathery smokey touch. A perfect grill companion.

Elias Mora Toro tinto: A Ripe and bold Tempranillo from Toro, Spain. Pure and fruit drive, dominated by its young bright fruit notes of dark plum and blackberry, along with a savory herbal component driven by tobacco and violet.
