FREE Wine Tasting
September 11, 2026 5-7:30 pm
New wines from Italy and Spain are on the menu for this Friday’s free tasting! I’m always on the hunt for new tasty wines, and that’s led me to meeting many new distributors. Learning about unique grapes and different countries styles for making wine is very exciting, and I hope to share that excitement this weekend.
We will be tasting:
- Rafael Alonso “Pardevalles” Albarin: Not be confused with the Albarino grape, Albarin blanco is a totally different varietal that struck me when I first tasted it. It is a rare grape from the Leon region of Spain, showing notes of lime, golden apples, elderflower, and toasty lees. This will be great for lovers of Sauvignon Blanc.
- “Isabella” Bobal: made entirely from the Bobal grape in Ribera del Jucar, Spain. This part of central Spain gets HOT! And this grape ripens beautifully with bold juicy fruit flavors and silky tannins.
- Planeta Cerasuolo Di Vittoria: The Planetas have been making wine for 17 generations in Sicily. Their Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a blend of Nero D’Avola and Frappato that bursts with flavors of cherry, strawberry, and fresh pomegranates.
- Cantine Teanum “Sumarello”: this wine is made of 100% Nero Di Troia from sun drenched Puglia. Such a warm climate creates intense ripe fruit flavors and soft tannins in the finished wine. Black cherry, plum, black berry, and soft violet notes dominate this wine.
See ya at The Market
