My favorite dynamic wine duo, The Dorias, will be with us this Friday to taste new wines that they have found from different part of Italy.  Their portfolio is growing ever steadily with small production wineries that truly embody low intervention, terroir driven wines from Italy.  Stop by and taste with us!

We will be tasting:

1. Orzan Ivaldo “Grant Bosc” Friulano:  lovely and crisp white wine made of 100% Friulano from Friuli, Italy.  It sees a tiny touch of skin contact, and 6 months of lees aging before bottling.  Its bright notes of citrus, pear, and white peaches are fantastic.
2. Di Pietro “Meno un Quatro” Coda di Volpe:  a delicious orange wine, unfiltered and native yeast fermented.  It is made from the ancient and rare Coda di Volpe grape, from Campania.  This is a truly unique wine not to miss.
3. Meinardi Barbera D’Alba:  a delicious red wine made for any and all occasions by the Meinardi Barbaresco Winery.  Bright berry fruits, juicy acid, and light grippy tannins make this wine a steady go to wine in the shop for new wine drinkers and well as more seasoned tasters.
4. Osvaldo Soddu “Bruncu Boeli”:  a gorgeous Cannonau from Sardinia.  This wine delicately extracted and aged in Chestnut wood barrels, showing a wonderful interplay between ripe fruit and savory elements.
