10-30 FREE Friday Wine Tasting 5:00-7:30pm

Aperol Spritz

FREE Wine Tasting
OCTOBER 30, 2026   5-7:30 pm

Wow!  It’s almost Halloween, and with that the doorway to the Holiday season is opened.  Every Friday I will be tasting wines from all over the world to suit the many diverse tastes of the community.  Every family has different traditions, different meals, and different ways of celebrating.  My wish is to find a wine that matches your vibe so you can enjoy the coming months to their absolute fullest.

This week I will be having a wine face off: Italy versus France.  Stop by and see which team you’ll support at the end.  Maybe you’ll find a new favorite style you weren’t expecting.

We will be tasting:

Lionel Osmin & Cie “ Villa Plage Blanche”:  this wine comes from the intriguing South west corner France.    This is a blend of Colombard, Gros Manseng, and Sauvignon blanc.  Snappy Citrus fruits, tropical notes, and honey make this wine a huge crowd pleaser.

Tenuta Olim Bauda Grignolino D’Asti:  this wine is for my Pinot Noir lovers that want a wine with a bit more grip and snap.  This wines juicy raspberry, cranberry, and tart cherry flavors mingle with hints of violets and bay leaf.  This wine with a chill is fantastic!

Ricossa Appassimento Barbera:  The grapes used to make this wine are dried to raisins, and the concentrated juice creates a rich, velvety expression of Barbera that would be excellent on a crisp fall evening.

Domaine Berthoumieu Madiran:  this is a big, full bodied blend of 90% Tanat and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.  Tanat is a very tannic and firm grape, but with delicious black cherry, currant, leather, vanilla, and cedar flavors.  It reminds me of sweet aromatic pipe tobacco on an autumn breeze.  Sensational with slow cooked beef.
