“A Horse of a Different Color”
Tonight we are trying wines whose grapes are outside their native country, and in styles new to most buyers.
- Pinot Meunier from California- normally a blending grape in Champagne.
- Carmenere from Chile- originally a blending grape from Bordeaux.
- Malbec from France- most folks only think of Argentinian Malbec, but it’s actually a French grape.
- Morrocan Syrah- a variety normally from the Southern Rhône Valley, France. But is making waves over in North Africa.
Stop by and taste with me tonight. See ya at The Market.
