Wines with a Spring Flair
Today’s wine tasting will be of wines from Italy, France, and Spain; all of which have a fresh and sprightly profile to match these gorgeous Spring days that we’ve been having.
Chateau Maris “Zulu” Chardonnay: a lively white from the foremost organic winemakers in France. Lithe on the palate with citrus and floral notes. Zero added sulfites, this organic wine embodies freshness.
Valeriole “Ve” rose: A Provencal blend of 70% Caladoc (a crossing of Grenache and Malbec), 15% Merlot, and 15% Marselan (a crossing of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon) It offers bright, salt-tinged flavors of raspberry and ripe citrus fruits, with a sneakily long finish.
Bibi Graetz “Casamatta” rosso: a steel tank fermented Sangiovese from coastal Tuscany, bursting with juicy tart cherry, and red berry fruits.
Genio “Roble” Monastrell: A perfect red wine for the grill master. This full bodied red from Jumilla Spain is full bodied, dark fruits with a leathery ribbon throughout, and a touch of warm vanilla and spices. Pork done anyway and this will be perfect.
See ya at the Market,
