This Friday we will be tasting a variety of wines that just arrived at the Market. I think that all of these are excellent thirst-quenching wines for the heat we have been experiencing here in Annapolis.

Viberti “La Gemella” rose: 100% Nebbiolo rose from Barolo, Italy. Fresh acidity and lively fruit flavors of strawberry, rose, and herbs make this a perfect apertif.

Villa Sparina Gavi: 100% Cortese from the Piedmont, Italy. Notes of pear, apple, lemon citrus, and a ribbon of minerality that contributes to a long finish.

Union Sacre Pinot Noir: Pinot Noir from Monterey, California. This is not your overripe California kind of wine. This winery focuses on Alsatian varietals, making their wines in a more European style. This wine has lively acidity, polished tannins, and notes of strawberry, plum, and cinnamon spices.

Sera Luce Venetian Spritz: a canned Venetian Spritz that will be an immediate pick for a pool day, going out on the boat, or having a picnic. Proseco is blended with hand made Venetian style bitter aperitivo. If you love an Aperol spritz then this will be you new favorite.
