Next door to Next Level wine:

Tonight we will be tasting wines from Portugal and Umbria, Italy. These two regions are often overlooked due to their proximity to their famous neighbors: Spain and Tuscany, yet make exceptional wines that shouldn’t be missed. And often these wines come with a much lower price tag!

• Quinta Daraza “Dom Diogo” rose: Vinho Verde rose all day! This region doesn’t just make snappy whites. This rose has bright acidity, a kiss of effervescence, and juicy watermelon, strawberry, and cherry flavors.
• Quinta Calcada “Duris Reserva”: A full bodied red wine from the Douro Valley, with flavors of dark cherry, black fruits, violets, and spices. Finishing with a smooth balanced mouthfeel.
• Raina “La Peschiera Di Pacino”: 100% Trebbiano from Umbria. Having 3 days of skin contact during fermentation, this wine boasts aromas and flavors of apricot, citrus, almonds, and white flowers with a natural snappy acidity and savory edge.
• Barberani “Foresco”: A full bodied blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet, and Merlot from Orvieto, Umbria. Organically farmed and produced from one of my favorite estates. Dry Cherry, dark black berry, plum, and hint of oak. Harmoniously blended and drinks great with countless dishes.
