This Friday we will be tasting wines from Italy, Spain, France, and Argentina!
I wanted to pick engaging and refreshing wines for these final weeks of Summer. These are wines that can flow with a meal and go late into the evenings conversations with friends.
- Domaine du Salvard “Unique”: Sauvignon blanc from Cheverny, France. Imported by the great Kermit Lynch.
- Cara Sur “Pergolas” Criollas Tintas: a deep rose made from a blend of native Criollas varietal from Argentina. Unfiltered, unfined, delicious.
- Cantina del Lupo “Grignole”: Grignolino from the Piedmont, Italy. Light and snappy. Mild tannins with flavors of cherry, cranberry, and raspberry.
- Akutain Crianza Rioja: A household name in Spain for making world-class Tempranillo.

This October Vassie, The Wine Guy, will be showcasing some of his favorite fall wines from Northern Italy! We will be tasting whites and reds from The Valle D’Aosta, Lombardy, The Veneto, and The Piedmont regions each with their own unique style and expression of place. These are a fun mix of small family producers, rebels, rarities, and masters of tradition, side by side to best enhance the season. Charcuterie will be offered along with the wines being tasted.
L’Arco Has Landed
These wines are first-come first-served. I want everyone to enjoy these special bottles, but once they are gone, they are gone until the next offering.
2022 L’Arco Vino Rosso - $37.99 - Corvina, Rondinella, Sangiovese Grosso, and Molinara. Minimum 12 months in traditional Botti barrels, released 3 years after harvest.
2022 L’Arco “Arcum” - $52.99 - Decalssified Ripasso. Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara. Set in tank for over 6 months, then 20 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
2021 L’Arco “Pario” - $84.99 - Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara. Set in tank for 6 months, then blended and aged for 28 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
2020 L’Arco “Rubeo” - $89.99 - Cab franc, Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, Merlot, and Cabernet. Set in tank for 6 months, then blended and aged foe 40 months in Slavonian oak.
