Last Tasting Before Christmas
It’s the last free tasting before Christmas folks! And I picked some tasty and unique wines for everyone to try.
- Demarie “Sabbia”: an orange wine from Roero, Italy. 100% Arneis, rested on it skins and the aged in French Barrique. Beautiful aromas and flavors of chamomile, peaches, and toasted nutty notes.
- Paitin “Serra” Barbera D’alba: a plush and juicy red. Flavors of cherry, wild berry fruits, and black pepper. Perfect with roasted chicken and other savory winter dishes.
- Frecciarossa Uva Rara: from the Oltrepo Pavese region of Lombardy, Italy. Bright, light, and lean cherry and cranberry fruits. Like a mountain Pinot Noir with an affinity for food. Brown butter anything.
- Pelissero Langhe Nebbiolo: young vine barbaresco from one of my favorite producers. Red cherry, strawberry, leather, orange zest, floral notes and a hint of vanilla from its partial oak aging. A classic that never goes out of style.
